REGISTRATIONS BEING TAKEN FOR KETTERING SAFETY VILLAGE

The Kettering Education Foundation creates opportunities for interested citizens and businesses to enhance education in the Kettering City Schools through donations to the foundation. Contributions are used to fund a grants program supporting curriculum-based programs and innovative teaching in the schools. TDAP VACCINE VERIFICATION DUE BY MAY 25TH

The Ohio Department of Health requires a dose of the Tdap, or TD, vaccine for all students prior to entering the 7th grade. The Kettering City Schools request that parents of students who will be entering the 7th grade for the 2012-2013 school year provide written documentation by May 25th to the school nurse, verifying that their students have had the immunization. If an incoming 7th grader has not provided verification of having had the vaccine prior to school starting on August 13th, the child will not be able to attend the first day of school.

FAIRMONT INTERACTIVE MEDIA STUDENTS PRODUCE VARIETY OF CABLE PROGRAMS

The students in Fairmont High School's Interactive Media Tech Prep Program produce a wide variety of cable TV shows that highlight the many events and activities that take place throughout the Kettering City School District. The students produce everything from "Good Morning Fairmont," a weekly look into life at Fairmont High School; to "Sports Talk Live," which spotlights the high school's many talented athletes; to "Kettering Board of Education Meetings;" to "Kettering Daily," which gives viewers an inside look at the "happenings" in Kettering's classrooms.
